By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Follow these instructions for making a heart-shaped pin out of wood.

  • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Paint your heart any color you want. Set it aside to dry.

Decorate your heart however you like! You can use paint to make faces or write messages on your heart. You can use other supplies to decorate your heart too; why not try glitter, lace, ribbon, wiggle eyes, or anything else you can think of. Be creative. The only thing you will need to keep in mind is that you will not want your heart to be too heavy.

Once all the paint and/or glue is dry, glue the pin backing onto the back of your decorated heart and let it sit until it is completely dry.
