Christine Durham shares these instructions to make a simple penny pin to wear.

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
From Christine: "I was trying to think of some inexpensive gifts for our school children and came up with this."

Simply cut 2 pieces of tulle about 3 times bigger than the penny. Place a penny in the center of the tulle and pull up the edges to enclose it. Cut a piece of ribbon and tie it with a bow. Tie a double knot in the bow in the ribbon so it does not fall off. Slip the side of the safety pin that has the closure under the ribbon to secure and your pin is ready!

Christine made a little card for each pin that said "Wear a Luck Penny Pin for Good Luck."
