12 Months of _(Child's Name)_ Calendar

A unique calendar idea that would make a fun gift.

From , former About.com Guide

Joyce Smith from South Carolina shares this great suggestion for making a personalized calendar featuring a special child.

Materials Needed:

  • Plain, printed calendar pages (one for each month)
  • 12 photos of that special child (preferrably candid shots rather than professionals)
  • Double-sided tape
  • Heavy paper (such as decorative cardstock) to use as a cover

Instructions:
"This year, I'm planning to make this calendar for my daughter's grandparents. They live far away and only get to see her a week or two of the year, so I'm sure they'll love it.

Since we're pretty camera-crazy in our house, we always have pictures of our kids from each month of the year. I've chosen a photo from each month, printed out calendar pages, and will mount each month's picture on the coresponding calendar page. I'll probably have mine laminated and spiral-bound at an office supply or stationary store.

It's a great way to give the grandparents a practical gift that lets them enjoy seeing their granddaughter as she grows. Plus, it gives them a little something extra to show off!"
