By , About.com Guide

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Make a small person or animal using pom-poms. Do this by glueing 2 larger popm-poms together, one will be the head and one will be the body. Use the paper or even beads to make the facial features. Use smaller pom-poms or chenilles stems for arms and legs. Cut 2 pieces of pipe cleaner approximately 1-inch long. Glue them on the bottom of your pom-pom critter's 'feet'. Set aside and let the glue dry. These will be the your critter's ice skates.

Lay the cd down so the shiny side is up. Glue your critter's ice skates to the cd. Face it so it looks like your skater is going around the cd. Let your skater dry. You might have to find something to prop up next to it so it will stand properly. Finally, you an decorate your 'ice rink' and skater more using snowflake shaped sequins if you like. You can also use a large pom-pom to look like a rock glued on the cd where the middle hole is.
