"In 2002, I made this Marie Antoinnette costume, using a prom dress I bought at a thrift store, draped around copper piping that sat on my shoulders. The neck and arms were sewn out of a pink turtle-neck and stuffed. I cut a hole in the dress and put an elastic around it to poke my head through so that it looked like I was carrying my head in my arms (my real arms were underneath the dress). Lots of glue-gun magic with lace and pearls, and sprayed my hair white to look like a powdered wig. This costume was a real hit with everyone" ~ Jill
