Paper Christmas Tree
Try this Fun Toilet Paper Roll Christmas Tree Craft

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Laura Howells shares some great suggestions for making miniature Christmas trees using a cardboard toilet paper roll, construction paper, and a few other supplies.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
This simple Christmas tree is a great project for the holidays to keep the kids busy. Imagine a forest of a centerpiece or add tags for place settings.

Start out by rolling a piece of green construction paper into a cone shape so it looks like a tree. You will want it big enough to sit on top of the toilet paper roll trunk.

To make the trunk, cut a toilet paper roll in half. You can wrap it in brown paper if you want. Glue the green paper cone onto the toilet paper roll by applying sme glue around one edge of the toilet paper roll and setting the paper cone on top of it. Be generous with the glue. It should now look like a pine tree on a trunk.

Fold a scrap of yellow construction paper in half and cut out a star shape. This will make 2 stars. If you want, cut it near enough to the fold so you can leave one of the points attached. Using glue, attach the star to the top of the tree. Also put glue on the points of the star and pinch the edges together.

Decorate using glitter, crayons, paint, markers, stickers, etc. Laura used glitter glue pens. Use your imagination.

Laura says, "Make a whole forest if you want. Trees make a great center piece or place settings.
