Brigitte Hoffmann shared this picture of Easter eggs that she hand painted. She used them as a decoration for an
Easter tree. Here is the process Brigitte used to make these painted easter eggs:
- Empty egg through two small holes (top and bottom centered)
- Clean thoroughly inside and outside with soap and at the end with vinegar (inside and outside)
- Let dry several days
- Paint with one coat gesso
- Paint the base color with tempera
- Paint the design with tempera
- Glaze with natural or glitter glaze or crackle glaze
- Let dry and start hanging.
