- Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Velvet, Velour, or Felt
- Ribbon or Cording
- Scissors or Pinking Shears
- Hole Puncher
Instructions:
Cut a circle out of your fabric, tracing around a dinner plate seems to work well. Punch holes around the fabric circle, about 1-inch in from the edge. The holes should be spaced about 1-inch apart.
Thread a piece of ribbon or cord through the holes, going up on hole and then down the next. Do not cut the ribbon or cord until you have it threaded into the holes with about 6-inches to spare on each end while the fabric is laying flat.
To use your pouch, simply pull both ends of the cord or ribbon tight to gather the top of the bag together. Fill the bag with whatever you like and tie it closed.
