"Last year my 3 year old was such an angel! I took a dress that her older sister had worn for some formal occasion, and I bought the shiny, satiny polyester fabric and gathered it around at the waistband. I don't know how to sew, so it is just tacked loosely, just under the cummerbund of the dress. We bought the wings for about $7 at a discount store and pinned on the feather boa at the hem from her dress-up trunk. I made the halo by opening a wire coat hanger and bending it around. I used packing tape and wound it several times around to be sure nothing sharp would poke her. Then I got fuzzy ribbon at the craft store and battery-operated mini-lights from the Big Lots and wrapped the halo with them."~ K. Sexton
The same year her younger daughter wore this angel costume, K. Sexton's older daughter dressed up as a devil. You can see a picture of them together here.
