So, are you now wondering what 'papric' is? It is a term the author, Susan Terry, uses to describe the hybrid she came up with by joining together paper and fabric. In this book, she teaches teaches us not only how to make a simple sheet of 'papric', but also how to create striped sheets using strips of fabric, woven sheets using like strips of fabric, and patchwork 'papric' using small pieces of fabric.
There are a variety of unique card designs in this book. There are cards representing all the seasons and several holidays. You can make cards featuring shamrocks, Autumn leaves, Easter eggs, black cats, Christmas trees, and much more. There are even more cards that can be used for a variety of occasions. I especially like the Hens and Chick card and the baby announcement cards featuring a little lamb!
As a quilter I have a closet full of fabric scraps and I think cards are a perfect way to use them up. If you don't have fabric or don't like fabric you can use just paper. These cards are inspirational, whether you use fabric or not.
