Guide Review - Cute Dolls Book
One of the things I really like about this book is the fact that it makes sewing cool for older kids, both boys and girls. While the title is Cute Dolls, these are not typical dolls. While some are cute, they are cute in a mature way, if that makes sense. I can see Tweens especially sitting for hours creating both 'cute dolls' and 'bad dolls'.
Not only does this book share directions for making a selection of cute characters, such as bunnies, sheep, cats, and bears, it also includes patterns to make a liar, a bad guy, and a kidnapper. While some parents might gasp at the name of some of these characters, I think they are just edgy enough to make older boys and girls inspired to create.
If you are not familiar with the Aranzi Aronzo characters, check out their Web Site. Note only do they offer this fun craft book, they offer a variety of other books, most laid out like comic books, that feature their cute and scary characters. If you take a peak at their Web Site, I am sure you will recognize something you have seen before.
