Send a message to everyone passing by your room with a customized door knob hanger.

  • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Cut out the base for the door knob hanger. Start out by cutting a rectangle about 4" x 11". Make a 3" wide circle about 1" from one of the 4' edges. Tracing around a glass is sometimes useful!

Now that you have your base, you can decorate it as you choose. Embellish with glitter glue, sequins, gems, and anything else that you desire. You can also cut letters or shapes out of craft foam (or purchase the precut shapes). You can use the dimensional paint to write messages on your doorknob hanger such as Keep Out, Baby Sleeping, Please Knock, Disaster Area, Genius At Work, Caution, Hard Hat Area, Welcome, No Girls Allowed, No Boys Allowed. Of course you can write one message on one side and the opposite on the other side such as Enter and Do Not Enter or Occupied and Not Occupied. Let Dry.

Once it Dry, hang it on your bedroom door!
