A hot melt glue gun is used to melt the glue which comes in rubbery sticks. A hot glue gun which should be used only with close adult supervision because it does get very hot. This is good for tacking items together, but not necessarily for a permanent hold. It may not bond to all surfaces, and it does not give a smooth application.
