Gloria Cormier shares directions for making these easy and elegant doll crafts.

Materials Needed:

  • 1-Inch or Wider Lace Ribbon
  • White Chenille Stem
  • Small Doll
  • Thin Ribbon or Monofilament
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions:
Cut a piece of lace ribbon, about 16-inches long. Along one of the long sides of the ribbon, fold up the edge about a 1/4-inch. Sew the edge up to make a tube you can slide a chenille stem into.

Cut a piece of chenille stem about 4-inches long. Slide the chenille stem piece into the tube you made. Once all the lace is on the chenille stem, twist the ends of the chenille stems together and then fluff-up the lace to cover the ends so it looks like a tiny lace wreath. To make it easier for the chenille stem to thread through the lace, bend over one end of the chenille stem to hide the wire end.

Put a dab of glue on the back of the doll and stick to the center of your lace wreath. Gloria found bags of these adorable little dolls at a discount store in a bag of 4 for a dollar. Let the glue dry.

This makes a wonderful Christmas tree ornament or decoration for a girl's room. Add a ribbon or monofilament for hanging. You can also add a pin back or attch it to the front of ther projects such as a home-made greeting card.
