- Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Colored Cardstock or Craft Foam
- Crayons or Markers
- Yarn
- Ribbon
- Craft Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
Choose whatever color you want your fairy wings to be. Trace each hand on that color of craft foam or cardstock.
Next, choose what color you want your fairy's body to be. Trace one of your feet on a piece of paper of craft foam of that color.
Finally, draw a circle for the fairy's head about 3" across on an appropriate colored paper or craft foam.
Cut out the hand and foot prints along with the circle. When you cut out the hands, only cut around the tips of the fingers and not all the way down the fingers.
To assemble the fairy, glue the circle head on to the heal side of the footprint. Glue the palms of both hands on the back of the footprint to be the wings.
Now you can color your fairy, adding facial features and any other details you like. Cut strips of ribbon and glue it onto the footprint to look like a skirt. Use yarn to make your angel's hair. To dress it up even more, you can add some glitter to the wings.
