- Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Film Container or Pill Bottle
- Felt
- Craft Foam
- Wiggle Eyes
- Feathers
- Marker
- Craft Glue or Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Scissors
Instructions:
Make sure your empty film container or pill bottle is clean and dry. Cut a piece of felt big enough to cover the entire outside of the film container or pill bottle, including the bottom. Glue the felt in place.
Cut a duck bill and webbed feet out of craft foam. With the film container or pill bottle upside down, glue them in place. Use a marker to put two small nostril dots onto the bill.
Glue two wiggle eyes in place. Give your duck a little extra added detail using feathers. You can glue them on where the dusk's wings would be. I also glued a small feather to the top of the head. You can add feathers where ever you like. You can also add other details to your duck if you like.
Once all of the glue is dry, you can slip your new puppet on your finger and put on a puppet show. You can create a wide variety of finger puppet characters using these directions and your own craft supplies.
