"My first and second grade class (ages 6 to 7) made these WONDERFUL fish for an art project. Instead of using construction paper for the fins, we had the children use markers on COFFEE FILTERS folded into fourths. We then sprayed the colored filters with water and let dry. Shaped them into fins, cut the mouth out of construction paper and glued everything as in the website. We didn't add eyes as the class thought the circle in the middle was a great eye by itself! This is a great project with the book The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. Thank you for such a cute project using "recycled" materials!" ~ Lena Keil.
