How to Make Magnets Using Greeting Cards

Denise explains how you can make fun magnets using old greeting cards and juice can lids.

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

 

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Lay the juice can lid over the section of the greeting card you wish to make into a magnet and trace around it with a pencil. Cut it out out, trimming it to fit just inside lid. Glue it to the lid and let the glue dry completely.

Take the dried lid and add a line of glitter glue around the inside edge of the lid covering edges of the greeting card. Let the glitter glue dry. Glue the magnet onto back side of lid and let dry.
