The Emperor of Absurdia Story Sack Laura Porter
This story sack ideas was submitted by Laura Porter, the About.com Guide to London Travel. She made it for her 2-year-old daughter and her 2- and 3-year-old friends.

She started out by making a tote bag. She printed a picture of the book jacket on an iron-on transfer sheet and ironed-it onto the tote bag.

She included a copy of the book along with a few props:

  • A pair of 'jingle jangle socks' – cheap brightly colored socks with bells sewn on the toes

  • The Emperor’s scarf – a small hand-knitted scarf

  • A felt fish to be a 'sky fish'

  • Cocktail umbrellas to be the 'umbrella trees'
