- Flat Glass Marbles
- Craft Glue
- Craft Foam
- Chenille Stems (optional)
- Hook and Loop Sticky Tape
- Paint Brush
Start out by painting designs on the flat side of the glass marbles. If you want to stick with the 'groovy' theme, choose classic 70s designs such as peace signs, happy faces, rainbows, and flowers. You can also paint them solid colors. Let the paint dry.
Cut strips from the craft foam, about 3/4 of an inch thick. Use a strip to create a bracelet, trim as needed to fit around your wrist. For a necklace, you may need glue two strips together. Glue the ends of two strips of craft foam together and then trim to make it choker sized. The ends of the bracelets and chokers need to over lap about 1-inch. Cut pieces of hook and loop tape about an inch long and stick them to the ends of the bracelet or choker strips, securing with a little glue if desired. Make sure the hook tape is on the front side of the strip and the loop tape is on the back side of the strip.
To make a ring you can cut a smaller strip of craft foam or simply use chenille stems. Metallic chenille stems work great.
Finally, glue on the painted marbles as desired and wear your groovy bling or give it away as gifts.
