This is a fun kids' Halloween Craft that everyone in the family can join in with. Have each member of the family create a Corny Candy Folk and make one for each of your pets. Then create the Corny Candy Folks Garland. Hang it on your wall for all to see!

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- white, Orange and Yellow Construction Paper
- Glue Stick
- Wiggle Eyes
- Black Marker
- Red and Silver Glitter Glue
- Candy Corn Folks Template
- Yarn or Cord
- Cellophane Tape
- Scissors
Instructions:
Note: Younger kids will need help putting the pattern pieces together. Let them practice writing their names on scrap paper and then write it on the candy corn.
To make the candy corn folks:
Print out the Candy Corn Folks Template. Cut out the templates #1, 2, and 3. The shaded areas are where the pieces will overlap. Cut out the following colors from each template:
#1 = yellow construction paper
#2 = orange construction paper
#3 = white construction paper
Place glue on the top edge of the yellow piece and lay the orange piece on top, lining up the sides and press down. Flip over. Add glue to the top edge of the orange piece and place the white piece on top, lining up the sides and pressing down. Flip to front.Trim any pieces on the side that do not line up.
Glue the eyes to the top part of the orange piece. Add a mouth with the red glitter. Add the name to the yellow part. If you want, after printing the name add, dots to the letters as shown above and eye lashes to the eyes.
To make the candy corn pets:
Print out the Candy Corn Folks Template. Cut out the templates #1, 2, and 3. The shaded areas are where the pieces will overlap. Cut out the following colors from each candy corn template:
#1 = yellow construction paper
#2 = orange construction paper
#3 = white construction paper

For the dog, cut out the templates Ear #1, 2 and 3. Cut out the following colors from each template:
#1 = white construction paper
#2 = orange construction paper
#3 = yellow construction paper
For the cat cut out the template Cat (ear) #1, 2 and 3. Cut out the following colors from each template:
#1 = white construction paper
#2 = orange construction paper
#3 = yellow construction paper
Glue the ears to the white part of the candy corn. With the silver glitter, add an upside down triangle for the nose and the mouth. For the dog, add a red tongue to one side of the mouth. For the cat, add whiskers to each side of the face. Let dry.
Assemble the garland:
Lay each corny candy folk/pet on the table, front side down and about 2" apart. Lay a piece of yarn across the back of all of the Corny Candy Folks, about 1" from their tops. The piece of yarn should be about 8" longer than the length of your folks (4" past each end).
Lay a piece of tape over the yarn on the back of each of your folks. Hang your garland from 2 tacks and admire your hard work!
