Rainbow Beaded Safety Pin Design

Use this free pattern to make beaded safety pin jewelry that looks like a rainbow.

  • Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

 

Materials Needed:

  • 14 - 1 1/16 inches Safety Pins
  • 1 - 2 inch Safety Pin
  • Seed Beads (refer to picture for colors needed)

Instructions:
Follow this pattern and the basic directions on the safety pin jewelry page to complete this project.

Each number column represents a pin.

  • Your first pin will have 3 black beads and 7 purple beads on it.
  • Your second pin will have 2 black beads, 2 purple beads, and 6 blue beads on it.
  • Pin number 3 will have one black bead, 2 purple beads, 2 blue beads, and 5 green beads.
  • Pin number 4 will have 2 purple beads, 2 blue beads, 2 green beads, and 4 yellow beads.
  • Pin number 5 will have one purple bead, 2 purple beads, 2 green beads, 2 yellow beads, and 3 orange beads.
  • Pin number 6 will have one purple bead, one blue bead, 2 green beads, 2 yellow beads, 2 orange beads, and 2 red beads.
  • Pins number 7 and 8 will each have one purple bead, one blue bead, one green bead, 2 yellow beads, 2 orange beads, 2 red beads, and one black bead.
  • Pin number 9 will have one purple bead, one blue bead, 2 green beads, 2 yellow beads, 2 orange beads, and 2 red beads.
  • Pin number 10 will have one purple bead, 2 purple beads, 2 green beads, 2 yellow beads, and 3 orange beads.
  • Pin number 11 will have 2 purple beads, 2 blue beads, 2 green beads, and 4 yellow beads.
  • Pin number 12 will have one black bead, 2 purple beads, 2 blue beads, and 5 green beads.
  • Pin number 13 will have 2 black beads, 2 purple beads, and 6 blue beads on it.
  • Pin number 14 will have 3 black beads and 7 purple beads on it.

When you thread these beaded pins onto your larger pin, start with pin number 1.
