- Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
- Time Required: 60 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Household Boxes, Can, Etc.
- Masking Tape
- Sand
- White Glue
- Paint Brush
- Scissors
Instructions:
Start out by using household boxes, can, and any other supplies you want to build your sand castle. Use the masking tape to hold all of the containers together and to construct your castle. Build your castle on top of a large piece of cardboard or something similar.
Once you have you castle constructed, paint on the sand! Mix together glue and sand to the consistency of thick paint. You want it to be thin enough to apply with a paint brush but not too thin! Use a paint brush the apply several layers of sand glue, letting each layer dry before you apply the next.
Once you have enough layers of sand glue that all of the household containers are completely covered, you can decorate your sand castle. Carol used sea shells and made little flags. You can use whatever you want!
