Kris made this pinata for her daughter's Veggie Tales birthday party. She decided to add the stem and leaves to cover the hole in the top. She used green construction paper topped with green tissue paper. The tissue paper on the leaves she cut little strips in to make fringe. For the stem she used an empty glue stick and wrapped it in white paper and colored it brown. Instead of using all newspaper and paper meche paste, she also applied some masking tape in between layers to make it more sturdy.
