"This was the first costume I made for my kids. My oldest wore it for his first Halloween back in 1996, and my younger wore it in 1998. I made a cape with red cotton fabric, and the S symbol with yellow and red felt. Drawing it freehand by looking at a Superman comic, I did the S on red felt and glued it to a yellow background. I put Tack-It-Over-and-Over glue on the back of the symbol so that I can stick it non-permanently to any suitable shirt." ~ Teresa
