- Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
- Time Required: 45 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Craft Foam or Colorful Paper
- Photos
- Dimensional Paint
- Magnet, Safety Pin, or Pin Backing
- Craft Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
Trace or draw a flower onto a piece of craft foam. You can draw out your own flower or use this flower template. You can make the flower as big of as small as you like.
Choose what part of the photo you want to use and cut that area into a circle small enough to fit into the center of the flowers. Glue the photo to the center of your flower. Trace around the photo with dimensional paint. If you like, you can trace around the outside of the flower too. Let the glue and paint dry.
If you want your photo flower to be a magnet, simply glue a magnet on the back. If you want it to be a brooch, glue a pin backing or a safety pin to the back of the flower. You can also make a stem for your flower using a green chenille stem or something similar. Make an entire bouquet of these photo flowers and fill a vase with them! This would be a fun gift for someone with a lot of kids, grandkids, or a teacher.
