Angry Birds Magnet Craft

You can use these craft instructions to create a fun magnet that looks like all of your favorite Angry Birds characters. Have every member of the family make their own magnet!

  • Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Lay the lid down on your piece of felt and trace around it using the pen. Cut out the felt circle and glue it to your flat juice can or canning jar lid. Cut another piece of felt a contrasting color to be your bird's body and glue it in place. If you want, check out this official Angry Birds site to help you decide what color of felt you want to use.

Grab some orange felt and cut out two triangles to be your bird's beak. Glue these onto the lid just above the piece of felt you glued on to be the body. Use felt to cut out any other facial features or other details for the specific Angry Bird character you chose.

Glue two wiggle eyes on you bird and then use the chenille stem to create eyebrows (if desired). Don't forget to add a little piece of feather on top of your bird's head! Let all of the glue dry.

Once your bird is made and all of the glue is dry, you can add the magnet. Flip your Angry Bird over and glue one or two magnet pieces to the back of the lid. Once this glue is completely dry, you can stick your magnet to the fridge or anywhere else you want!

I hope you enjoy making this magnet craft. If you do make your own Angry bird magnet, make sure you send in a photo so it can be posted here. You can also get your own Angry Bird crafts published.
