Materials Needed:

  • Paper
  • Paint
  • Styrofoam Meat Tray, Styrofoam Plate, or Other Shallow Container
  • Balls

Instructions:
Pour your paint into a shallow container. Use a different container for each color of paint. You might also want to keep a bowl or water on hand to clean balls and fingers.

Smaller balls, such as tennis balls, baseballs, and golf balls are great choices. You can also try larger balls if you dare!

To paint with the ball, dip it into the paint. Dab it around on the styrofoam to cover one side completely and wipe off any excess paint. Now, simply press it onto the paper to make a unique print. Use larger sheets of paper outside and instead of simply pressing the ball onto the paper try bouncing it!

You can do ball printing on other products besides paper. You can use fabric paint to make personalized clothing, towels, or bedding. Use latex paint to decorate furniture or even to personalize your walls. Be creative and have fun!
