You might be wondering to yourself, "What is the big deal with this pair of scissors? Aren't all scissors the same?"
Well, if you are a sewer (or, if you prefer, sewist) or a paper crafter, you know how hard it can be to find a pair of scissors to cut out smaller piece of fabric or paper. This pair of scissors is made to help you cut out those fine details.
Of course, the folks at Olfa made sure these scissors are comfortable. They have an extra large handle so more fingers can fit into them. This will help provide more strength and comfort while you are cutting. They can be used for both right-handed and left-handed cutting. Also, the end of the blades fully extend into the plastic handles to make them more durability and give them better cutting stability and pressure distribution. Also helping with this are straight-edge, stainless steel blades sharpened all the way to the tip.
While the technical details of these scissors is what makes them so special, I am sure it is not what most crafters and sewers are the most interested in. Most crafters and sewers would be most interested in how well these scissors work. I can tell you, so far so good! I have had great success cutting both heavyweight and lightweight fabric, paper, and thread. I have been looking for a pair of scissors like these every since I learn how to applique, and now this pair of scissors are now my go-to pair of scissors for applique and for other smaller, more detailed jobs.
