Guide Review - The Art of Knitting 4 Kids DVD

This DVD teaches knitting using 3 different methods so everyone should be able to relate at some level. Kids can knit along with 7-year-old Ryan Anderson. He teaches the basics of knitting to kids using language they will understand. Kids can also learn about knitting through an animated story featuring 'Jane and Jeremy'. This story is presented by Dr. Elizabeth Seward, who uses the story to not only teach the fundamentals of knitting, but also how to make your own knitting needles. Finally, kids can learn through doing by knitting along with instructor Marcy Levitas Hamilton and her team of animated characters. As an added bonus, the DVD takes kids along on a visit to The Alpaca Ranch to learn how yarn is made.

Up until I saw this DVD, I would choose crocheting over knitting simply because I was more comfortable with it. This DVD breaks it down into easy to understand steps, tips, and techniques which is great for kids and beginners of all ages. This DVD motivates me to practice my knitting skills, and helps me fine-tuning a few of the procedures I have struggled with before.
