Description
Guide Review - Junk Drawer JewelryThe introduction and 'Getting Started' section of Kids Can Press books are always informative and educational and this one is no different. It inspires you to get started crafting the projects and teaches you about several tools and techniques you can use to make unique jewelry. It also gives you a great excuse to try your hand at using all the fun jewelry findings available at craft stores. There are items you can make using craft supplies such as the lace-It-Up leather Bracelet, charm bracelet made using shrink plastic, or the beaded wire ring. There are also projects you can make using household items such as the Super-Stacked Washer Ring, a necklace made out of hardware, or colorful origami earrings. It was hard to choose, but I think my favorite projects are the wristbands made using duct tape and eyelets, a necklace made using clear vinyl tubing, and glamorous earrings made using sequins. If you have ever wanted to dabble at jewelry making, need a unique gift for a special person, or just want to spend an afternoon making fun craft, this book is a wonderful resource. With the great step-by-step directions and illustrations, the projects are easily accomplished by older kids and even adults will enjoy them. Related Guide PicksSuggested Reading |
