Guide Review - Make Spectacular Books

This book inspired me! I sat reading it thinking of dozens of people I could make special or should I say spectacular, books for! I also thought about the fact that I will have to hide this book from my daughter who loves scrapbooking and card making because it just may 'grow legs' and walk away, right to her house!

As a quilter, I love the potential these unique books provided to use up some of my fabric scraps. They also give me an excuse to buy some of the more unique fabrics on the market. There are so many novelty fabrics on the market that I fall in love with but can think of now use for, and making these books would be perfect chances to use at least a little piece of them!

The author shares step-by-step directions for preparing the fabric for the books along with instructions for making three different styles of fabric books. She also shares almost two dozen specific book projects, along with tips for creating your own unique styles. She makes suggestions for a variety of embellishments and also offers unique closure options.

I am now planning on making these little books for everyone I know. My first plan is to make books that match quilts I have made. I think they will make great gift cards for the people who are getting (or who have already gotten) a quilt! I am also considering using these techniques in making special graduation announcements/invitations for my son to give to his grandparents next Spring. What do you think?
