Check out all of these great craft products that are helping to raise money to help educate people about and to help fight breast cancer. While October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is something that many people deal with every day of the year. Along with the description of the products below, I tried to include prices and and what the company donates to breast cancer research.
Xyron Charity Ribbon Sticker Maker
Xyron in a well known name to most crafters. They manufacture adhesive application, laminate application and image transfer products. The folks at Xyron Inc. have designed a sticker maker that looks like a pink ribbon. For every Xyron Charity Ribbon Sticker Maker that is sold, the company will donate 50 cents to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If you aren't quite sure how a sticker maker works, you slide an item, up to 1.5-inches wide, in one side and it comes out the other side sticky on the bottom side so you can use it as a sticker. This sticker maker costs around $13.00 - $15.00.
DecoArt Pretty 'N Pink Products
I love pink and I love these wonderful specialty products offered by DecoArt. To quoe them, "In order to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness, DecoArt has developed an entire program in which a portion of all proceeds will be donated to increasing awareness through education and early detection." Offered in this collection are acrylic paint, glitter paint, gloss enamel, and a handful of stencils. You can also find some fun projects on this site.
Artbin Pink Ribbon Craft Organizers
I am an organizing fool so I don't usually have to be talked into buying anything that will help me organize my craft supplies so I was very happy to see this collection of pink ribbon craft organizers from Artbin. They offer a handful of different organizers that sport the pink ribbon. A portion of the sale of these pink ribbon products is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. for their fight against breast cancer. They range in prices from about $18.00 to $25.00.
Fiskars Breast Cancer Awareness Scissors
My theory is that you can never have too many pairs of scissors so why not go out and buy yourself, and everyone else you know, a pretty pink pair that helps raise money for breast cancer. Not only is the handle of this pair of scissors pink, the blades are embellished with tiny Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon logos. These scissors are made to cut a wide variety of objects. Fiskars will donate a percentage of proceeds from the sale of these scissors to breast cancer research (a $30,000 minimum donation). These scissors cost around $8.00 - $10.00 each.
Apollo Precision Pink Tools
No matter what kind of crafts you do, various household tools can come in handy. Now you can buy wonderful pink tools and help Apollo Tools support breast cancer. "As a Corporate Partner, we donate to the BCRF a portion of each pink tool sold." The hardest thing here might be trying to decide which tools to buy. They have a wonderful assortment!
Think Pink Specialty Paper Pack from Creative Memories
This is a great paper pack for scrapbookers or paper crafters. Creative Memories offers this pink paper pack to support breast cancer awareness. Included in this kit are 6 sheets of double-sided paper, 1 die-cut printed paper, 2 sheets of shimmer pink cardstock, and 1 sheet of die-cut shapes. You may also want to check out their Think Pink Embellishment Pack. A portion of the proceeds from these products will go toward supporting breast cancer research. That paper pack costs about $10.00 and the embellishment pack cost about $8.00.
Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet Kit
Okay, I suppose technically this could be considered a jewelry item and not really a craft item, but Amazon calls these bracelet kits so that is good enough for me! While all of the Jesse James beads and jewelry kits look fun, this one is especially made to help raise breast cancer awareness. On the Jesse James Site, it says "10% of each HOPE Sale will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Fight for the Cure Foundation". I have seen these kits on a variety of sites and the price ranges from around $15.00 - $20.00.
Limited Edition Pink Sidewinder Portable Bobbin Winder
Anyone who doesn't use a sewing machine might not appreciate the usefulness of this product; just believe me, if you know someone who sews or quilts, this would make a great gift. When you purchase this product, you not only get the fancy pink Sidewinder, you get a 60" pink tape measure and a pair of pink handled scissors. Of course, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Limited Edition Pink Sidewinder will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The cost of this product is around $35.00.
Windham Fight Like a Girl Fabric
I love this pink, black, and white fabric. The price will vary depending on where you buy the fabric. On their Web site, Windham says, "October is national breast cancer awareness month. Windham Fabrics makes an effort each year to do our part in fighting the battle to cure this disease. A portion of the proceeds of Fight Like a Girl is donated to the Maurer Foundation to help them in their courageous effort to educate women about breast cancer." You can also download a free Hope quilt pattern.
Pink Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L
Scrapbookers and paper crafters are probably already aware of Scrapbook Adhrsive's E-Z Runners and E-Z- Squares, but perhaps they are not aware of the pink editions of these craft product offered during the months of September and October. ON their Web site, they explain "In order to give back to the community that supports us, with your help, we donate 5% of every pink-packaged product we sell in addition to a fixed annual contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation." Products run about $5.00 each.
Warrior Stamping Kit
The folks over at Ford have gotten together with Martha Stewart's people and create this fun Symbols of the Warrior Stamping Kit. These stamps are beautiful and are rich with meaning. The stamp kit comes with 13 antique stained wooden stamps and six ink pads in a platinum designer tin. 100% of the net proceeds from the purchase ($13.47 each) of a stamp kit goes to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The stamp kit sells for around $32.00.
