How to Paint a Heart onto A Jar

Submitted by Heavenley Treasures, Make this fancy jar that would make a fun gift. Use it as a candy holder, candle holder, or a vase!

  • Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30+ minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

 

Materials Needed:

Wash jar and let it dry. Place newspaper under project to prevent any spills or splatters with the paint.

Make a heart-shaped stencil out of Con-Tact paper and stick it to the jar. Spray jar with the spray paint and let dry. Spray a second coat, let dry. Once dry, take maroon paint and a paint brush, and splatter paint around your heart design. Let dry.

Pull stencil off gently,and tie ribbon or raffia around the top of the jar, secure with bow. Place a candle in jar or fill it with candy, and it makes a real cute gift!!!
