Materials Needed:
- Jars with Lids – any sizes and shapes
- Paint
- Clear Acrylic Spray
- Scrap Fabric or Felt
- Twine
- Beads
- Paint Brush
Instructions:
Paint your jars as desired. Using a contrasting color, paint a ‘label’ area onto each jar and list the imaginary ingredients in the jar, such as lizards tongues, witches warts, fly wings, and rat bones. Once the paint is dry, spray your jar with a couple of thin coats of clear acrylic spray to make them more durable.
Cut a piece of fabric or felt about 1-inch larger around than the lid. Place the fabric on the lid, holding it down around the edges, and tie it in place with a piece of twine. Include a couple beads on the ends of the twine.
These jars can be left empty and used for decorating purposes or they can be filled with candy or other treats and given as gifts.
