Jar Paperweight

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Make this fun paperweight using a jar, colored sand, and a few other supplies - submitted by Allie.

Materials Needed:

  • Small Glass Jar with Lid (cork looks nicest)
  • Colored Sand (at least 2 different colors)
  • Ribbon
  • Photo
  • Hot Glue and Hot Glue Gun

Instructions:
Pour the sand into the jar, about a tablespoon at a time, alternating colors to make a fun pattern. Fill the jar completely and then glue the lid onto the jar.

Cut the photo to fit the side of the jar and glue it into place. Tie the ribbon around the top of the jar.

This makes a great gift for anyone!
