"One year I dressed as Medusa. My mom & I wired rubber snakes onto the cap of an old wig from which we'd cut the hair. We layered and mounded the snakes so they looked like a writhing pile, leaving some ends to dangle when I moved. My hair was long so I braided it & let the braids blend in with the snakes. I wore heavy makeup, drawing on a snake or 2 on my face. I wore white sweats underneath and wrapped a sheet around me like a toga, added the belt and sandals and I was good to go!" ~ K. Sexton
