Instructions:
Start out by cutting a piece of craft foam approximate 5" x 7". Using the scissors, cut a slit about 4-inches long, starting about a half an inch from on 7-inch side and stopping about a half an inch from the other 7-inch side. This slit should be about a half an inch from one of the 5-inch edges.
Cut another piece of craft foam, approximately 7" x 9". Glue the magnets, 4 in the corners and one in the center, onto one side of this piece of craft foam. This will be the back of the locker message board.
Run a thin bead of glue around the edge of the 5" x 7" piece of foam with the slit (the slit is nearest to the top edge). Stick it, centered, onto the large craft foam piece on the side without the magnets. Punch a hole near one of the top corners of the larger craft foam sheet. Cut a piece of ribbon about 18-inches long. Tie one end of the ribbon to the pen or pencil and the other end to the hole you punched in the craft foam.
If desired, decorate the craft foam using dimensional paint, gems, stickers, or anything you like. Once the glue is dry, slip the piece of cardboard on the back of a small tablet of paper into the slot in the craft foam and hang up your locker message board. You can write notes to your self or friends and rip them off!
