Sea Shell Bouquet Craft

Submitted by Belinda Bates
A visitor named Belinda shared these directions for making flowers out of sea shells. She says she likes to simply put these flowers in a vase or use them to decorate a pictures frame.

  • Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Sort through your sea shells; pick out the most colorful ones and set them aside. Paint your shells if you like. Let the paint dry.

Carefully cut the roses off of the stems. Belinda suggests using artificial roses bought at yard sales or just some that have faded while lying around the house. After removing the old rose blooms, use a hot glue gun and put a sea shell in its place. Make as many as you desire. Let the glue cool and then your flowers are ready.
