Make sure the hook side of the hook and loop tape is sewn on the right side of the snuggle blanket and the loop side of the hook and loop tape to the wrong side of the family.
Once the hook and loop tape is in place, you can turn your fleece pet snuggle blanket right-side out and try it on! If the sleeves are too long, all you have to do is trim them! This is one of the biggest benefits of working with fleece. Because the fabric doesn't fray it is not necessary to sew a hem. If the snuggle blanket is too long you can simply trim off any extra.
If you like, you can also customize your pets fleece blanket. You can sew on fancy buttons or trim. Cut a square from your left over fleece or coordinating fleece and sew on a pocket. Use fabric paint to personalize your blanket. Go crazy but make sure you don't add anything that your pet can reach to chew off!
