Bottle and Sock Snow Woman Craft

Anneliese Lawerentz
Anneliese explains how to make a snow woman out of a sock, a bottle, and a few other supplies. I love how she used fabric scraps to make a patchwork apron along with a matching hat and scarf.

  • Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Start out by putting sand in the bottle to stabilize it. Push a small styrofoam ball into the toe of the sock. Put a bead of craft glue around the top edge of the bottle. Pull the sock over the top of the bottle so that the styrofoam ball sits on the top of the bottle where you applied the glue. Cut a small strip of fabric and tie it just under the styrofoam ball to look like a scarf and hold the sock in place.

Use scrap fabric to make a skirt around the snowman to hide the rest of the bottle. Use glue or a needle and thread to hold it in place. Now use buttons and anything else you like to decorate your snow woman.
