- Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Ivy Bowl
- Paint
- String of Lights
- 5" Felt Hat
- Craft Foam
- Black Marker
- Fabric Scrap
- Snowflake Button
- School Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
Sponge paint the outside of the ivy bowl using white glass paint of acrylic paint covered with clear acrylic sealer. Let it dry.
Turn it upside down. Paint on black eyes and a mouth, let dry.
Cut a small triangle out of orange craft foam to look like a carrot nose. Use a thin black marker to make stitch-type lines around the nose. Glue in place.
Glue a fabric strip and button onto 5" felt hat. Glue felt hat onto ivy bowl. Tie a fabric piece around the rim of the ivy bowl to look like a scarf; glue to secure.
Put a string of white lights underneath the ivy bowl with the cord sticking out towards the back in one of the grooves. Plug in when needed.
