Discover how you can turn an orphaned sock into a wrap you can use to dress up a bottle of water or soda.

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Connie's idea was to embroider designs or sew on appliques to a sock and then slide the sock onto the bottle. Connie uses her personalized sock bottle wrap to carry her cold water bottles so they stay cold longer.

You can use a variety of craft supplies to embellish your bottle wrap. When I made mine, I turned the sock inside out and slipped the bottle into it. I then folded down the top of the sock so that the bottle was covered by a double layer of sock and the neck is exposed. I used a hot glue gun to secure the top of the sock, which was now folded toward the bottom of the bottle, in place. I then used some fancy trim I had on hand and some dimensional paint to decorate my sock bottle wrap.
