Giving Thanks Jar Tradition

Creative Thanksgiving Family Tradition

From , former About.com Guide

Jamie Prickett shares her family tradition and how they give thanks each year at the dinner table! A great Thanksgiving craft.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Decorate a container to look like a turkey (You can make this Turkey Jar).

Place 2 uncooked beans at each place setting. Instead of saying grace, you pass the turkey around the table and everyone to say 2 things they are thankful for and placed the beans - one at a time - into the turkey.

"My son's First grade teacher sent this home with him. Only their turkey was a photocopy that they cut and glued to make the dish. It has been a tradition with my family ever since." ~ Jamie
