This is a great Thanksgiving card for kids to make for their loved ones, shared by Lady Scarlett.

  • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 150 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Fold a piece of cardstock in half to form a card. Paint the child's palm and thumb brown and the other fingers different colors; red, yellow, orange, etc. Press hand on the paper to make a hand print turkey. Let it dry.

Once the paint is dry, using the thumb print as the head, add a wiggle eye and paint on a red waddle and a beak. Add feet at the bottom.

Make a copy of this poem and glue it onto the inside of the card or write it inside the card:

Dear (insert name here),
This isn't just a turkey, As anyone can see.
I made it with my hand, Which is a part of me.
It comes with lots of love, Especially to say,
I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving Day!
