Dust Bunny Costume
Home-Made Halloween Costume Idea

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Find out how to make this simple yet creative Halloween costume. Follow these directions submitted by Barbara and you can dress up as a dust bunny.

Materials Needed:

  • Set of Bunny Ears
  • Bunny Tail
  • Slippers
  • Gray Sweatsuit
  • Newspaper
  • Spray Adhesive
  • Dryer Lint
  • Black Eye Pencil

Instructions:
Cover a large work surface with newspaper. Lay the sweatpants flat on the newspaper. Working on a small area at a time, spray the sweatpants with the adhesive and sprinkle the pants with the dryer lint. Completely cover the front and back of the sweatpants in this manner. Set the sweatpants aside, hanging until they are dry. Once the glue is dry, sew the bunny tail onto the back of the sweatpants.

Repeat the above process with the sweatshirt. If your sweatshirt has a hood, make sure you also cover the hood with lint. Attach the ears to the hood. If the ears are part of a headband you can cut slits in the sweatshirt hood for the ears to fit through.

Draw a little black nose using the black eye pencil. You can also draw whiskers! That's it - now you have a dust bunny costume.
