Instructions:
For this unique couples costume, one person will dress up as a police officer and the other will dress us like a heart. The police officer can arrest the heart, thus 'cardiac arrest'.
When Michelle made this costume, she cut 2 large heart shapes out of cardboard. She poked two holes near the top humps of each heart and painted them both red. Once the paint was dry, she threaded ribbon through the holes so she could hang the hearts like a sandwich board over her shoulders. She ended up with one large heart in front of her and one large heart behind her.
Michelle's husband then dressed up as a police officer. He found a blue shirt at a thrift store and the other police officer accessories at a dollar store. For a finishing touch, he grew out a mustache, but you could also draw one on using eyeliner pencil.
About this costume, Michelle said, "It took some people a while to figure out what we were, but once people got it, they couldn't stop laughing. Good luck!"
