Of course, the supplies needed and the directions for dyeing your shirt will depend on the dye you are using. As I said previously, we used RIT Powder dye to make this shirt.
I first dipped the top and bottom parts of the shirt into Royal Blue RIT dye. I held it in the blue dye for only about 5 minutes. I then rinsed the shirt and held the center section in Scarlet RIT dye, again for only about 5 minutes.
