How to Make an Ornament Out of an Acorn Tissue

Instructions for making simple ornaments using acorn and paint, submitted by Norma in Kentucky.

  • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Go for a walk and gather some acorns. Take them home and paint them different colors. Let them dry.

Cut the metallic chenille stems in half and bend over so both ends are together. Use a hot glue gun to attach the chenille stem to the top of the acorn to work as a hanger.

That's it, hang up your acorn ornaments and enjoy!
