Simple Beaded Candy Cane Ornament

Discover how simple it is to make a beaded Christmas tree ornament using a chenille stem and a handful of red and white beads. This is a great craft even the youngest kids can help with.

• Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

• Chenille Stem
• Tri-Cornered Beads
• Scissors

Instructions:
Cut a piece of chenille stem about 8-inches long. Bend up 1/2-inch of one of the ends of the chenille stem. String several beads onto the chenille stem. You can simply use red and white beads or you can make colorful candy canes. Stop when you get about a 1/2-inch from the other end and fold up that end.

Now, simply bend down one end of the chenille stem to form a candy cane hook.
